My Story

Aimee Kringle is beginning her third year as a Lecturer in Music at the University of Wisconsin–Stout Polytechnic, where she teaches courses including Music in Our World, Jazz History, Rock Music History, and Class Piano. She also serves as a collaborative pianist for the university’s choral program. Drawing on nearly three decades of teaching experience, Kringle is passionate about creating engaging, supportive learning environments that help students develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong connection to music.

Prior to joining UW–Stout, Kringle spent twelve years as Director of Bands at Rice Lake High School, where she conducted concert bands, jazz ensemble, pep band, marching band. During her tenure, she developed a thriving steel pan program, expanded chamber music opportunities, and created innovative programs designed to support both musical growth and student well-being. She previously taught instrumental music for twelve years in the Shell Lake School District and began her career teaching elementary general music in Department of Defense Dependents schools in Baumholder and Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

Kringle holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and a master's degree in conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. She has served as flute and oboe coach for the Wisconsin State Middle Level and High School Honors Bands and as woodwind coach for the Wisconsin State Middle Level Honors Orchestra.

Her teaching extends well beyond the university. Kringle has been a longtime faculty member at the Shell Lake Arts Center, where she has taught the flute studio and co-conducted at Concert Band Camp. She is also a faculty member with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music and will travel with the 2027 ensemble on its European concert tour.

Kringle is the owner of and instructor at NoteWorthy Music Studio, which has expanded to serve students in both Rice Lake and Menomonie. Through the studio, she works with musicians of a wide range of ages and experience levels in piano, band instruments, ukulele, guitar, and steel pan.

Her work as an educator has also expanded into online language instruction, where she teaches beginning Spanish to students in a virtual setting at Allume Custom Education.

Across university teaching, private instruction, summer music programs, and international educational experiences, Kringle's work is centered on helping students become confident learners, expressive musicians, and engaged members of their communities.
